Welcome to 6HP!
Welcome to our class page! We have worked hard designing the content of our page. We hope to update it weekly and make it as interesting as possible.
Week 5's Headteacher and Children's Choice awards go to...
Chanti: For a brilliant play script using fantastic formal language!
Krish: For his specific, detailed writing using impersonal language and passive voice.
Our Children's Choice:
Kye: For being a great friend.
We enjoyed congratulating them in assembly on Tuesday 5th December.
Homework is set on Friday and due back on a Thursday.
This homework was set on 8.12.17 (on the website only as we had no school due to snow!) and is due back on 14.12.17.
Please note maths homework is now set by the maths teacher. This maths work is for Mrs Perrett's Maths Group.
Year 6 can attend a Homework club on a Tuesday lunchtime in 6DF - so please see a member of the Year 6 staff if you want to attend.
Recently in class...
We visited Cannock Chase Museum and had a great time exploring artefacts from the 1940s, finding out more about evacuation and considering what life was like on the Home Front. Here are a few photos!
We are comparing wartime recipes with modern day recipes and have been cooking in class. Check out our efforts - a delicious cake they say! Attached are photos and the recipe for you to try at home! We have all made the cake and enjoyed it.
Autumn 1 RE Day
We enjoyed RE Day learning about Guru Nanak and the qualities that make a good leader. We created pictures of Sikh Gurus and found out more about them too.
Here is a selection of our art work courtesy of Lexi, Kaifa, Darrell, Alexa, Angelina, Tyler, Saniya, Kye and Annie.
Safeguarding Day 3.10.17
We had a great day today working with professionals and agencies from Sandwell who taught us about a range of safeguarding issues. We learnt more about how DECCA, Rewind, the Anti-Social Behaviour Team and the Police can help us. Here are some fun photos from our day.
