Welcome to 6HP!
Welcome to our class page! We have worked hard designing the content of our page. We hope to update it weekly and make it as interesting as possible.
This week's Headteacher and Children's Choice awards go to...
Abigail: For a fantastic detailed news paper report on Robin and Marion's wedding with excellent advanced SPAG and vocabulary!
Angelina: For brilliantly detailed writing and trying her best to meet her targets.
Our Children's Choice:
Nafeel: For being a great friend - always supporting his friends - and trying his best in his recent extended writing task (so much so his friends noticed and were impressed!).
We enjoyed congratulating them in assembly on Tuesday 13th March.

Snow Fun Time!
Have a brilliant snow-learning day 6HP! Why not try one of these fun activities listed below? .....Record the temperature using a thermometer - we can continue our maths revision of negative numbers with real life data then!
Bring in any photos of your experiments and fun in the snow! We'd love to hear all about them in class!
Freeze a bubble: Got any bubble mixture at home? Try this-
Make a giant ice marble:
We are investigating the conditions that allow the most mould to grow on bread. Apologies if the children start experimenting at home too! You might find bread bags on the radiators, in the cupboards, on the windowsills.... That's where they are in class! We will keep you posted on where the most mould grew!
***Update: The mould grew most on tiger bread, but also a lot on bread that had been sprayed with lots of water and was left in a warm place (but not so warm that the bread started to dry out or toast). ***
Our Class Assembly!
Thankyou to everyone who attended our class assembly. The children were brilliant! Spoke their lines with confidence and presented information clearly in a fun way. Well done!
RE Day 2: Pilgrimages
We enjoyed learning more about what pilgrimages are. We learnt more about the Hajj and also considered the journey the three kings took to visit and worship Jesus. We explored artistic images of the three kings and re-created our own. We used bold and bright colours to reflect the joy and happiness associated with Christmas.
Cannock Chase Museum Trip
We visited Cannock Chase Museum and had a great time exploring artefacts from the 1940s, finding out more about evacuation and considering what life was like on the Home Front. Here are a few photos!
We are comparing wartime recipes with modern day recipes and have been cooking in class. Check out our efforts - a delicious cake they say! Attached are photos and the recipe for you to try at home! We have all made the cake and enjoyed it.
Autumn 1 RE Day
We enjoyed RE Day learning about Guru Nanak and the qualities that make a good leader. We created pictures of Sikh Gurus and found out more about them too.
Here is a selection of our art work courtesy of Lexi, Kaifa, Darrell, Alexa, Angelina, Tyler, Saniya, Kye and Annie.
Safeguarding Day 3.10.17
We had a great day today working with professionals and agencies from Sandwell who taught us about a range of safeguarding issues. We learnt more about how DECCA, Rewind, the Anti-Social Behaviour Team and the Police can help us. Here are some fun photos from our day.
