Year 4 are having an amazing time on the Frank Chapman Residential come rain or shine! When we arrived, we took part in lots of team building activities where we really had to concentrate on working together and listening to each other. Even though it rained the whole time, we did a great job and embraced the weather!
After we had settled into our dorms and unpacked, we enjoyed a lovely dinner and had lots of free time in the field. A lot of us ended up very wet and had half of the pond in our wellies! We enjoyed pouring it out and changing into our third pair of socks.
After dinner, we went on a very, very muddy walk!! We had to face fears and crawl under logs and threw the clay to get through but we did so well and we're all really proud of ourselves. Miss Aly went home with half of the stream in her coat and Miss Gregory did a terrible job of rescuing her, but we all found it very funny.
After a late night, we all woke up very early ready for a day full of activities. Some of us enjoyed bushcraft which involved building fires and shelters. We also cooked bread over the fire! After lunch, we took on the climbing wall! We were really proud of ourselves as it was quite a challenge for some of us but we faced our fears and tried our best. We all encouraged each other and worked brilliantly making sure everyone was safe.
We're all settling down now and enjoying a film in the warm. We're very excited about our Harry Potter story walk through the woods tomorrow before we head back to school.
We can't wait to tell you all about it when we're home!
Here are just a few of many photos to show you all how much fun we are having!
