Hi 3KS, I’ve been making calls this week and have been lucky enough to speak to some of you. It is lovely to hear what you are getting up to since we left school; lots of schoolwork, Broken bones, riding bikes without stabilisers, games of Cluedo (one of my favourites too) computer games, exercise and reading. It’s great to hear you are all safe and well. Hope to speak to more next week.

Home Learning
Hi 3KS!
Hello Year 3,
I hope you are all well and staying safe, we are all missing you very much. Well done for all of your efforts with your home learning. Keep it up. I know it is hard to stay motivated but remember you can take breaks in between and please enjoy the sunshine while we have it. Each week we are uploading work onto Purple Mash for you to complete as well as learning in the home working packs. One person has had a go so far brilliant I am so pleased let's see if we can increase these numbers by the end of the week. The activities are short bursts but will really help. This week there are some spellings, handwriting and a fraction wall to build. When you have finished i will send you a comment back. Remember to also keep playing Times Table Rockstars! By the time you start Year 4 you will be multiplication superstars!!
You do not need to print any of the lessons, just work on paper or your busy book.
You can find the lessons on this website.
How?
Click on children > home learning packs > click the link and enter the password > year 3 > 3KS

If you need any help, feel free to email me, my email address is in the folder!
Have fun, stay safe!

Wednesday 1st April!
Good Morning Year 3, I hope you are all well! We are half way through week two of home learning already! You are doing so well! Please access the home learning packs for today and you will find the week's learning set out in the class folders for you.
If you have not completed Monday and Tuesday's lessons go back and have a look at those first!
Also read a book of your choice for pleasure and write your own character description of your favourite character.
Mindfulness
Staying at home for long periods of time and having a different routine can be challenging. Here are some ways to unwind and stay relaxed.
Use the youtube channel for cosmic kids to take some time out to do yoga

Draw a picture or complete some colouring in whilst listening to some relaxing disney piano music.
Enjoy!

Hi 3KS!
Here Luke demonstrates how stage age people would have used stones to make fire! The stones used are called Iron Pyrites which have a lot of iron in them. Using a flint (another type of stone also used to make tools) Luke strikes to Iron Pyrite causing hot sparks. These sparks hand on a specially prepared piece of mushroom called "horsehoof Fungus" (I wonder why it is called that?). This fungus then catches light which will then be used with dry materials such as grass to make fire!
We hope you enjoy this and if you have any questions please ask!
Miss Samrai
This is a video for those young ones I work with. But hope others will find it interesting :-) As part of my Bushcraft Journey I wanted to test out Iron Pyri...
