As part of the Tipton Green computing curriculum the children are learning to complete a range of learning activities using Google Classroom. Using this platform children can access and complete activities from across the curriculum. From now on we will be setting a weekly homework using Google Classroom. In order to access this your child will need a laptop, or tablet and an internet connection. To access Google Classroom please follow the steps below:
Nb. If your child is using an ipad , tablet, or smartphone you will need to install the ‘Google Docs’ App first
Your child should be assigned to a class and will be able to access tasks that are set.
If your child’s class is required to isolate due to a confirmed case of Covid 19 then the curriculum will be delivered through Google Classroom. Teachers are able to see the tasks that your child is completing and offer support and feedback throughout the day. They can also respond to any messages for assistance.
If your child becomes accustomed to completing homework tasks using Google Classroom then they should also find it straightforward to access the curriculum if they are required to work at home.
Please could you contact the school if your child is unable to access Google Classroom to complete their homework this week and we will endeavour to help you. If you do not have a device for your child to work on at home we may be able to lend you one of our older machines.
