Messages for parents - FAQs
PE kit:
Children will be allowed to wear their PE kits on the day they have outdoor PE only. (Days to be sent out next week). Children must wear correct PE kit, which is gold/yellow PE t shirt, black or burgundy shorts or black jogging bottoms/leggings. Trainers or pumps can also be worn. Children may have indoor PE on other days of the week, but we will ensure that any activities are suitable for participation wearing school uniform.
School bags / Stationery
The cloakrooms will be out of use so we will not have any space to store school bags. Children may bring in limited stationery if they wish for their own use and also their school reading book. These can be stored in their tray. Everything brought into school, except lunchboxes, must fit into the school tray.
Lunch
At the moment, no hot dinners can be provided due to the dining hall being out of action. Packed lunches may be bought in a lunch box. A sandwich lunch can be ordered from the office and paid for. If you are in receipt of free dinners, one can also be ordered.
School opening times:
After induction week, school will be open to all pupils every day and until Friday lunchtimes. School gate will open at 8.35. Please try to bring your child in at the allocated time. Year 3 parents (only one per child) will be able to bring their children through to the playground on the first day. Both the side gate and the gate by Silvertrees will be open every day. Please adhere to social distancing rules.
Collection:
Please arrive as near to collection time as possible. If you have more than one child and have to wait, please adhere to social distancing rules and move to the top playground until it is time to collect your next child. Only one parent to collect and drop off children please. Once you have your child, please leave the playground as soon as possible.
Buddy club and Breakfast club:
These clubs will start the second week back when all children are in school and will run at normal times. More information to be given next week on how to register your child. They will continue to run on Fridays for parents who work.
Friday afternoons:
School will be finished by 12.20 (Y3 and Y4) and 12:30 (Y5 and Y6). If you wish your child to have provision in school because all available carers work, please provide evidence of employment to the office, such as an ID tag, letter from your employer, or a payslip etc. You will not be charged for this provision until after 3.30 pm.
Water bottles:
Children can bring a water bottle into school, labelled with their name. Only one is required.
One way system:
There won’t be a one way system in school as the paths are wide enough to accommodate parents. Please adhere to social distancing rules.
School uniform:
School uniform must be worn every day unless it is your child’s outdoor PE day. Please see website for uniform details. You child can bring a book bag to school which will fit in their drawer.
