Year 5 brought all of their science learning to life with an exciting trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester. During the visit, the children explored the fascinating exhibits, discovering a wealth of facts about space and science. One of the highlights of the day was the impressive Rocket Tower, where they saw real-life examples of space technology up close. The trip was a fantastic opportunity to deepen their understanding of space while inspiring curiosity and excitement about science.

This week, Year 4 created the bases for their exciting buzz wire games. They decorated the wooden base using the designs they planned last week before carefully bending the metal wire to create a challenging course. They thought carefully about the level of difficulty, making sure their game would be fun without being too easy or too hard. The children also created the hook that players will guide around the wire. They can't wait to build the electrical circuits that will make their games...

For the final 3D Illusion Art session of the year, the children created 3D impressions of their hands. They used felt-tip pens and highlighters to create the illusion that their hands were jumping off the page!
