Coronavirus Advice for Parents.
As from today, we are now proud to be a member of the Elston Hall Learning Trust. We look foward to working in partnership with the other 5 schools and for the many opportunities for all of our stakeholders as we move ahead.

RE- Strike Action
I am writing to inform you that due to strike action from the National Education Union (NEU) that on Wednesday 1st March the school will be:
• Closed for the day for all children in Miss Gaskin’s class (Simon) and all children in Miss Nightingale’s class (Blyton)
• Open for pupils in all other classes
Please note that there are other dates for possible strike action. I will keep you informed about action on these days nearer the time.
School will be closed on Monday 19th September (Bank Holiday) for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

RE - Classes for September
Dear parents,
Please see below a list of teachers for each year group and the classes that they will be teaching in September.
Year 3
Miss Gregory – Year Group Leader – Current Sycamore class
Miss Nightingale - Current Beech class
Miss Gaskin – Current Rowan class
Year 4
Mrs Hocknull - Year Group Leader - Will keep current 3AH class
Mrs Washbrook / Mrs McNally - Current 3ZG class
Miss Bibi - Current 3RG class
Year 5
Classes will be mixed as the children move to year 5. The teachers will be as follows:
Miss Clarke – Year Group Leader
Miss Boffey
Miss Watson
For GDPR reasons we will be unable to send out class lists. However, parents will receive a text over the next week stating who their child’s class teacher will be for September.
Year 6
Mrs Brownhill – Assistant Head teacher and Year Group Leader
Mrs Perrett – Current 5DF
Miss Swatman – Current 5JB
Miss Smith (Will be Mrs Walters in September) - Current 5HC
Children will meet their new teachers for the morning on the last day of term (21st July).
After six years at Tipton Green, Mrs Millard (previously Mrs Roden) will be leaving us. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for everything that she has given to the school, particularly some of the memorable choir and performing arts events.
Just a reminder that Year 6 break up for summer at 3:15pm on Wednesday 20th July and years 3 – 5 break up on Thursday 21st at 12:45pm.

Please note that the training date that was originally planned for June the 6th has now been cancelled and changed to June the 10th due to having to re-schedule in house staff training. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Please note that we are currently working to form an action plan to address the areas for improvement that have been identified.
