Pizza, Teamwork and Fun in Cooking Club!
A great start to Cooking Club this spring term for Years 5 and 6! The children made healthy pizzas by spreading tomato purĂ©e onto wraps and adding a range of toppings, including mushrooms, peppers, sweetcorn, ham and pepperoni. They practised cutting vegetables carefully and safely, worked well together, and showed responsibility by helping with washing up and cleaning the tables afterwards. It was a slice of fun and a really topping start to the term! 🍕

Year 6: Is Yeast a Living Thing?
In science, we carried out an exciting investigation to answer the question: Is yeast a living thing? To test this, we added warm water, one teaspoon of sugar, and a packet of yeast into a bottle, then carefully stretched a balloon over the top. We predicted what might happen and watched closely. Today, the children recapped their prior learning about human organs and revisited the journey of food through the digestive system.
