History Comes Alive: Year 4 Roman Day!
Year 4 enjoyed an exciting and immersive Roman Day, where they stepped back in time to experience life in Roman Britain. Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of engaging activities that brought their history learning to life and helped deepen their understanding of the Roman Empire. One of the highlights of the day was learning about Roman numerals. The children explored how the Romans represented numbers using letters and practised reading and writing them.

Year 5 Visit to the Space Centre!
Year 5 brought all of their science learning to life with an exciting trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester. During the visit, the children explored the fascinating exhibits, discovering a wealth of facts about space and science. Visit to the Houses of Parliament
What a fantastic day our children had on their visit to London and the Houses of Parliament! After arriving in Westminster, we enjoyed breakfast before beginning our much-anticipated tour of the Houses of Parliament. Year 6 Summer Fete
Year 6 are so excited to host their Summe Fete on Friday 26th June. Year 4 Create Super Father’s Day Cards
Year 4 have been busy getting creative as they designed and made special Father's Day cards for the important people in their lives. The children created superhero-themed cards, using their cutting, folding and decorating skills to produce unique designs. Visit to Parliament!
We’ve just left London after a fantastic afternoon of sightseeing in the sunshine! The children have been amazing and have walked over 4 miles today. Life-Saving Water Safety Skills
Children enjoyed a very important water safety assembly delivered by a lifeguard from our local swimming pool. The assembly taught children how to stay safe in and around water, particularly during the warmer months when more people visit rivers, lakes, canals, and other open water areas. Year 5 Digital Art
Children participated in a fun Digital Art workshop using IPads today which was kindly led by Mr Ashton from Engagedu. We have some fantastic artists in Year 5! School Nurses Promote Sun Safety
Today, two school nurses set up an informative and interactive sun safety stand in the school playground to provide help, advice, and support to children and parents about staying safe in the sun. The colourful display attracted lots of interest and helped raise awareness about the importance of protecting skin during the warmer months. Egyptian Day in Year 3
In year 3, we had a fantastic time learning all about the ancient Egyptians on our Egyptian day! We learned all about Howard Carter and his discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb, had a go at being excavators ourselves and roleplaying what the discovery would have felt like. Then, we had a go at being real Egyptian scribes, carving our names into clay with hieroglyphs! Then, we learned all about the process of mummification and how that links to Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs.

Year 4 Fire Safety Visit
Year 4 children took part in an exciting SPARKS visit delivered by firefighters from the local fire station. The presentation focused on important fire and road safety messages in a fun and engaging way. During the session, the children watched a short film showing how quickly fire can spread and learned valuable information about smoke detectors, escape plans, emergency calls, fire hazards, and what to do if clothing catches fire using the “stop, drop and roll” technique.
