Healthy Eating Workshop

Making Learning Delicious!

A Scientific Look at Toothpaste in Year 4!
This week, Year 4 became dental detectives! Our science investigation focused on how brushing helps reduce tooth decay and whether different toothpastes have different properties. Safer Internet Day
Today, School council kicked off our Safer Internet Day 2026 with an assembly. They talked about this year's theme - the safe use of artificial intelligence. School council shared with the school why we are taking part in Safer Internet Day, when we might use AI in our day-to-day lives, and also told the school what to do when things go wrong when using artificial intelligence and who to talk to. A Thoughtful Visit to Year 4
Year 4 Our lovely visitor from this morning’s assembly stayed on to spend time with Year 4, where the children took part in a thoughtful and engaging question-and-answer session. They asked insightful questions about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), learning about the influence he has and why he is so important to Muslims. Year 4 Animation Workshop
Year 4 pupils took part in an exciting and creative animation workshop led by Engagedu, where they explored both digital drawing and stop‑motion animation techniques. The workshop began with pupils using iPads and a stylus to design their own stick‑figure characters using the app Flipkit. Year 4 Cricket Skills in PE
Year 4 enjoyed a great PE lesson focusing on cricket fielding skills, learning how to create strong long bridges. The children worked together to roll the ball accurately and ensure it was stopped before rolling past them, showing excellent teamwork and control throughout the session.

Science Club
Years 3 & 4 science club had lots of fun making earthquake proof structures. Using jelly sweets and cocktail sticks, we tested each structure to ensure the it could withstand earthquake conditions. The children all did really well and even managed to not eat any of the sweets!!

A Mysterious Crime Scene Sparks Imaginative Writing!
Children in Year 4 were horrified to discover that the book corners in their classrooms had been wrecked. Pages had been torn from books, leaving the scene in complete disarray. Year 4’s New Art Topic
Year 4 have begun an exciting new art topic based on tie-dye and quilt making. We started by learning about the colour wheel, exploring primary, secondary and tertiary colours and how they are created. Grinch Day continues...
Year 3 Year 4 Children in Year 5 created paper chains with how to be kind on them and they also created a Grinch bauble as a keepsake. Sharing Stories Across the School!
