Safer Internet Day

Today, School council kicked off our Safer Internet Day 2026 with an assembly. They talked about this year's theme - the safe use of artificial intelligence. School council shared with the school why we are taking part in Safer Internet Day, when we might use AI in our day-to-day lives, and also told the school what to do when things go wrong when using artificial intelligence and who to talk to. This was just the beginning of our day - classes also took part in a live lesson on AI, and completed activities in their classes about how to use AI safely. 

Year 4 had an online lesson today about how to use AI safetly on the BBC website. The children have created their own posters in class 4 and their own chatbot icons, telling people how to stay safe online when using a chatbot.
