Year 6 have been very lucky to take part in an emotional health roadshow, that was run by the nurses. We discussed transitions to secondary school and how we can manage our feelings and develop resilience during this time. We discussed how we can prepare ourselves for this over the next few months and who can help us. We also played a fact/myth game. It was a very informative and enjoyable afternoon for all.

Year 6 became blood experts in Science! We explored the circulatory system and learned about the important job that blood does in keeping our bodies alive and healthy. To help us understand what blood is made of, we even made our own models of blood using everyday materials. As part of our annual Harvest Festival celebrations, we would like to invite the children to take part in supporting those in need within our community. This year, we are collecting donations for the Black Country Foodbank. Donations can be brought into school by Friday 2nd October. They took on the role of scientists as they embarked on an exciting journey to learn more about the human body and the circulatory system. Recently our year 6 children have been preparing for their very exciting transition to secondary school. It was Year 6's turn for Sports Day! They had great fun participating in a variety of events, showing enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and determination throughout.

We are incredibly proud of all of our Year 6 children after their first day of SATs. We were absolutely blown away by the science projects that the children created for the science fair. It was wonderful to see the creativity, curiosity, and effort that went into each project. Our reading ambassadors led an assembly at Silvertrees Infant School. Using the book Wombat Stew by Marcia K Vaughan and Pamela Lofts, they told the story about a very clever Dingo who had caught a wombat and decided to make a gooey, brewy, yummy, chewy wombat stew! Children’s Mental Health Week provides an important chance to reflect on how we all look after our mental and emotional health. Tipton Green Junior School is proud to announce that we have received a Music Mark Award! This award recognises our school’s strong commitment to music and our ongoing partnership with SIPS Music . As part of Children’s Mental Health Week our pupils took part in The Big Sing-A-Long with SIPS Music Service. There is a wealth of evidence showing the positive impact that singing has on wellbeing, and we were delighted to join this uplifting event. This year’s theme, “This is
