Sports Day 2026
Today, our Year 5 children enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day this morning, followed by Year 4 this afternoon. The children took part in a range of exciting events, including the bean bag race, sack race, egg and spoon race, skipping race, javelin, long jump and the always-popular relay race to finish the day. Tipton Green Triumphs at Holly Lodge Cricket Tournament
A very excited group of Year 3 and 4 headed to Holly Lodge High to represent Tipton Green. We impressed during the warm-ups and were even asked to demonstrate to other schools how to play cricket and explain the match criteria. Dominant Display as Tipton Green Shine
Tipton Green started brightly and got on the front foot straight away. We created early chances that settled us nicely into the game. 2 quick goals came half way through the first half to take a 2-0 lead into half time. Second half started and Uplands had the advantage. Then we produced one of our best halves this season with quick passing and flowing attacks, along with solid defending and goalkeeping. Mini Marathon in Year 6

Tipton Green V Summerhill
Tipton Green boys started the game on top against a team who has won all their matches this season. We won the battles and tried to keep the ball on floor as much as possible. Second half began and the game was very end to end. Summerhill took the lead and Tipton Green did so well to stay on top and create pressure which lead to us scoring a great goal to make the game 1-1. This should cement our place in the quarter finals.

Game started with a very physical battle straight away. Hargate were very dominant with their tackles. Tipton Green did so well to keep their heads and try and play football we knew would win us the game. 1-0 lead at half time helped us settle the game down in the second half and go on to winning the game 3-1 to qualify through the group stages.

Fantastic 4–0 Victory for the Girls!
Tipton Green started the game with super intensity and made the game hard for Burnt Tree to get out of their defensive half. Great quick passing from our defensive positions allowed us to get in toe dangerous positions leading to quite a few shots on goal. 3-0 at half time was well deserved and credit to Tipton Green players because second half they made sure to work hard defensively to stop Burnt Tree attacks with the game ending 4-0 to Tipton Green.

Tipton Green 0-0 Old Park A very intense match, which was end to end and full of tackles. Both teams having to defend at a high level to stop quality attacking players. Old Park edged the second half but whole of Tipton Green team defended well and TG keeper making some unbelievable saves to keep us level. Proud Performance Against League Leaders!
Rounds Green 3 Tipton Green 0. Very difficult game against top of the league that have scored 26 goals in 3 games. This was our second league match and our girls played tremendously well to stay in the game and even have some chances at the end. Comments from our team were that Rounds Green were very strong but they enjoyed a battle which hopefully helps us going into our next match.

Year 4 Cricket Skills in PE
Year 4 enjoyed a great PE lesson focusing on cricket fielding skills, learning how to create strong long bridges. The children worked together to roll the ball accurately and ensure it was stopped before rolling past them, showing excellent teamwork and control throughout the session.
