Cooking Club’s Crispy Quesadilla Creations!
Today in Cooking Club, the children made delicious quesadillas using Mexican-style wraps. First, the children peeled mushrooms and peppers and chopped them into chunks. Chocolate Chip Cookie Fun
This week at Cooking Club we baked delicious cookies using a simple homemade recipe. The children carefully measured the ingredients, mixed the dough, and shaped their own cookies before baking them. The recipe included: - 125g butter - 100g sugar - 1 egg - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 200g self-raising flour - 100g chocolate chips After mixing the butter and sugar, the children added the egg and vanilla, then stirred in the flour and chocolate chips. Wool Craft Club
Over the next few weeks in Wool Craft Club, we will be learning how to make colourful pom poms using wool. Once the children have created a collection of pom poms, they will design and make their own wool craft piece. They can choose to join their pom poms together to create a 3D design, or attach them to card to create a textured picture. We’re looking forward to seeing their creativity shine!

Cooking Club: Super Easy Hummus
This week in Cooking Club, they made their own super easy hummus by following the recipe step by step. They gathered all the ingredients and used the food processor to blend the chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, salt and sesame oil. They carefully added some of the chickpea liquid to make the hummus smooth and creamy. They then cut up fresh peppers, cucumber, carrots and pitta bread to taste with their hummus. Static Science Fun!
Science club learned about static electricity tonight and made jumping frogs! The children learned new vocab: atom, proton, electron and nucleus and enjoyed making their own animals that ‘jumped’ onto our balloons.

Cooking Club Masters the Art of Shortbread
Cooking club made delicious shortbread today. The children carefully followed the recipe and learnt important baking techniques, such as measuring ingredients, mixing, and kneading the dough. They practised kneading by pressing, folding and shaping the mixture until it came together smoothly. The children worked well together and showed great focus and teamwork throughout the session. Science Club embarked on a colorful experiment to investigate the effects of temperature on Skittles! The children were excited to see how the sweets would react when placed in warm versus cold water. What they discovered was both surprising and visually stunning!

Little Chefs Cook Up a Healthy Spaghetti Bolognese
Cooking Club made a healthy spaghetti bolognese this week. The children peeled mushrooms and finely chopped them, along with peppers, before adding them to chopped tomatoes. Years 3 & 4 science club had lots of fun making earthquake proof structures. Using jelly sweets and cocktail sticks, we tested each structure to ensure the it could withstand earthquake conditions. The children all did really well and even managed to not eat any of the sweets!!

Cooking Club made easy one-bowl fudgy cocoa brownies using butter, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla, flour and a pinch of salt, with groups adding chocolate chunks for extra richness. Pupils worked collaboratively to measure ingredients accurately, melt and mix safely, and follow the recipe in the correct order. Pizza, Teamwork and Fun in Cooking Club!
A great start to Cooking Club this spring term for Years 5 and 6! The children made healthy pizzas by spreading tomato purée onto wraps and adding a range of toppings, including mushrooms, peppers, sweetcorn, ham and pepperoni. They practised cutting vegetables carefully and safely, worked well together, and showed responsibility by helping with washing up and cleaning the tables afterwards. Drama Club Enjoy the Pantomime
On Friday 12th December, our drama club had a fantastic afternoon at Sandwell college. We had front-row seats to a pantomime of Alice in Wonderland, performed by the performing arts students studying there. It was funny, silly and made us laugh out loud! We were amazed at the costumes and very excited to be in a real theatre and loved getting involved in the audience participation parts of the show. We even got to have a photo with Alice at the end!

Celebrating the Season with the Choir!
The choir performed brilliantly at the Christmas concert, truly getting into the festive spirit. Mrs. Wise added a special touch by making cupcakes and serving hot chocolate topped with cream, marshmallows, and sprinkles for parents and children to enjoy.

Cooking Club Creates Christmas Chocolate!
As the hot chocolate toppers were so popular last week, Cooking Club used a similar method to make their very own Christmas chocolate bar. First, we melted milk chocolate and layered it into the shape of a Christmas tree. Next, we melted white chocolate to create the tinsel decoration. Then we added sprinkles and Smarties to make colourful baubles, and finally topped our Christmas tree chocolate bar with a chocolate star. It looked wonderfully festive — and tasted even better

Choir Meets the Mayor!
Our school choir had a wonderful and memorable visit to the Council House! The children were thrilled to meet both the Mayor and Santa — and were delighted to each receive a special present. The choir performed a selection of songs, bringing smiles to everyone in the room. They sang beautifully and represented our school with pride, confidence, and plenty of Christmas cheer! Well done to all our talented singers for making the day so special.

A Cosy Winter Treat!
Today in Cooking Club we made our very own hot chocolate toppers, perfect for a cosy winter or Christmas drink! The children melted both milk and white chocolate, then carefully added a lollipop stick to each one. A Simple Baking Success!
Today we made shortbread using just three ingredients: plain flour, caster sugar, and unsalted butter. After carefully measuring each ingredient, we used our hands to knead the mixture together.
