Manny Singh Kang  visited Tipton Green today to lead a special assembly for pupils, sharing his inspiring fundraising journey and encouraging children to believe they can make a difference in their community. Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic healthy eating workshop with the school nurses this week. 🥗 The children learnt about the Eatwell Plate and how it helps us to understand the different food groups our bodies need to stay healthy. They explored how fruits and vegetables should make up a large part of our meals, why carbohydrates give us energy, how protein helps our bodies grow and repair, and why dairy supports strong bones and teeth. Year 4 ​ Our lovely visitor from this morning’s assembly stayed on to spend time with Year 4, where the children took part in a thoughtful and engaging question-and-answer session. They asked insightful questions about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), learning about the influence he has and why he is so important to Muslims. The children listened carefully and showed great curiosity and respect as they deepened their understanding of Islam.

On Friday 12th December, our drama club had a fantastic afternoon at Sandwell college. We had front-row seats to a pantomime of Alice in Wonderland, performed by the performing arts students studying there. It was funny, silly and made us laugh out loud! We were amazed at the costumes and very excited to be in a real theatre and loved getting involved in the audience participation parts of the show. We even got to have a photo with Alice at the end!

The choir performed brilliantly at the Christmas concert, truly getting into the festive spirit. Mrs. Wise added a special touch by making cupcakes and serving hot chocolate topped with cream, marshmallows, and sprinkles for parents and children to enjoy.

Our school choir had a wonderful and memorable visit to the Council House! The children were thrilled to meet both the Mayor and Santa — and were delighted to each receive a special present. The choir performed a selection of songs, bringing smiles to everyone in the room. They sang beautifully and represented our school with pride, confidence, and plenty of Christmas cheer! The Tipton Green Christmas Fayre with Silvertrees Academy was a truly fantastic event and one to remember! We had an amazing turnout and such a wonderful atmosphere — it was lovely to see our school community come together.
