Thank you to all our parents and children for supporting our Remembrance Day poppy appeal. Thanks to your generosity, we raised £120.49 for the Royal British Legion. Your support helps to honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country, and we are very grateful for your kindness. On Friday 12th December, our drama club had a fantastic afternoon at Sandwell college. We had front-row seats to a pantomime of Alice in Wonderland, performed by the performing arts students studying there. It was funny, silly and made us laugh out loud! We were amazed at the costumes and very excited to be in a real theatre and loved getting involved in the audience participation parts of the show. We even got to have a photo with Alice at the end!

The choir performed brilliantly at the Christmas concert, truly getting into the festive spirit. Mrs. Wise added a special touch by making cupcakes and serving hot chocolate topped with cream, marshmallows, and sprinkles for parents and children to enjoy.

Our school choir had a wonderful and memorable visit to the Council House! The children were thrilled to meet both the Mayor and Santa — and were delighted to each receive a special present. The choir performed a selection of songs, bringing smiles to everyone in the room. They sang beautifully and represented our school with pride, confidence, and plenty of Christmas cheer! Well done to all our talented singers for making the day so special.

The Tipton Green Christmas Fayre with Silvertrees Academy was a truly fantastic event and one to remember! We had an amazing turnout and such a wonderful atmosphere — it was lovely to see our school community come together. On the 11 th  November Year 6 were joined by their parents, carers and family members as they went to the Cenotaph in Victoria Park to pay their respects to those who have fought and are still fighting in wars. The children led a short service and the laid a wreath. The children were very respectful as they observed a two minute silence. It was a moving and meaningful experience for everyone involved, reminding us of the importance of remembrance and gratitude.

Today, the children at Tipton Green Junior School came together to mark Remembrance Day with respect and thoughtfulness. In preparation for the occasion, pupils created their own poppies and planted them outside to form a striking giant display.
