School Council Helping Our Local Food Bank

Our fantastic School Council members have been busy lending a helping hand with our generous Harvest donations!

Working alongside the volunteers from Black Country Foodbank, the children took on the important responsibility of sorting and organising all the wonderful donations collected by our school community.

The children carefully separated the food items and toiletries, making sure everything was organised into the correct categories before neatly stacking the donations into crates. They then worked together to carry the crates out to the foodbank van, helping the volunteers load everything safely and efficiently.

Our School Council members were more than happy to lend a helping hand and thoroughly enjoyed being involved in such a worthwhile cause. They worked enthusiastically alongside the foodbank volunteers, showing fantastic teamwork, kindness and a real sense of responsibility. The children were proud to know that their efforts would help make a difference to local families in need.

The donations will now be transported to the foodbank's main centre, where they will be further sorted, packed and distributed to our local food bank, helping individuals and families in need within our community.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to see first-hand how food banks operate and understand the importance of generosity, compassion and supporting others. They demonstrated our school values of being Ready, Respectful and Safe throughout the morning.

A huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated items to our Harvest collection. Your generosity will make a real difference to local families. We are incredibly proud of our School Council for playing such an important role in supporting this worthwhile cause!
