Spring 2026 - Issue 10 Dear Parents, Carers and Families, It’s been a busy two weeks in school, with plenty of creativity and learning taking place across all year groups. Our Dress to Express day was a wonderful celebration of individuality—thank you for helping the children come in feeling confident, colourful, and proud of who they are. Some of our children have been learning to play the violin and have been fascinated by the new skills they are developing. They learned how to hold the violin correctly in rest position and mount position, and practised a piece called “Pepperoni Pizza,” which uses notes that go up in pitch. They worked hard to play in time and together, listening carefully to one another and showing excellent focus and teamwork.

In the ECO Ambassadors’ first meeting of the academic year, they discussed new ways we can recycle more and reduce waste in school. One idea the children were particularly enthusiastic about was introducing a battery recycling bin — and they went ahead and ordered one themselves! Now, any used batteries we have in school will be placed in the battery bin provided. Batteries should not go into general waste, as they are a fire hazard in bin lorries and at landfill sites.

Autumn 2025 - Issue 7 Dear Parents, Carers and Families, A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas Fayre last week - whether by joining us on the day or providing donations beforehand. Thanks to your generosity, we raised over £1,000, which will go towards the continued development of our Secret Garden Project. The Tipton Green Christmas Fayre with Silvertrees Academy was a truly fantastic event and one to remember! We had an amazing turnout and such a wonderful atmosphere — it was lovely to see our school community come together.
