Summer 2026 - Issue 13

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,

What a fantastic start to the summer term we have had! The pupils have returned to school with positive attitudes towards their learning and have settled back into routines with resilience and commitment.

Even though we have only been back at school for two weeks, there have already been some exciting opportunities for pupils to be involved in. Our Well Being Ambassadors developed their leadership skills last week, working as councillors at a SHAPE event. Read more about their experience here: SHAPE EVENT. Their enthusiasm for the day was inspiring and they represented our school impeccably! Well done everyone - you are the leaders of the future!

We are also looking forward to an exciting week ahead, with cricket and football competitions taking place next week – the children involved are very enthusiastic and we wish them the best of luck. There are lots of other important dates for your calendars included in this newsletter so please take a moment to read through them - including our Summer Disco in a few weeks!

Have a lovely weekend

Attendance Matters

At our school, we know that every day of learning truly counts. Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in helping children achieve their full potential - both academically and socially. When pupils are in school consistently, they build strong learning habits, develop positive routines, and engage fully with lessons, friendships, and the wider school community.

Thank you for your continued support in helping all our children enjoy a successful and positive school experience.

Year 5 Football

Please sign up via Arbor in order to secure your child's place in the club.

Mini Marathon

In the last two days, pupils in school have been taking part in a Mini Marathon event in order to raise awareness of the upcoming London Marathon this weekend. Distance was not the aim of the event but the taking part was. All pupils supported each other in the best way, encouraging and congratulating no matter the distance or speed - our values of respect and ambition shone brightly on both days! Well done everyone, what a fantastic effort!

Sun Safety in School

As we move into the warmer months, we would like to remind families of the importance of sun safety in school. On sunny days, children are encouraged to bring a named sun hat to wear during playtimes and outdoor activities, and to have a water bottle in school so they can stay well hydrated throughout the day. We also ask that suntan lotion is applied at home before school; if children need to reapply during the day, this should be labelled and children should be able to apply it themselves where appropriate. By working together, we can help ensure everyone stays safe, comfortable and able to enjoy the sunshine responsibly. Fingers crossed the warm weather continues this term!

School Disco!!

We are excited to announce that this term we will be hosting a Summer Disco for all pupils! Tickets will go on sale soon at the price of £1.50.

Spotlight on Tipton

Year 3 have been using their observational skills to learn about plants in their new Science topic.

Super work in Year 4 who have been applying their understanding of co-ordinates to be able to translate a shape.

Year 5 have begun learning about the Vikings in their history lessons. This is a great example of a pupil using their writing skills to explain their ideas.
