Year 5 Visit Carding Mill Valley

As part of their Raging Rivers Geography topic, Year 5 visited Carding Mill Valley to explore river features in a real-life setting. Year 5 Visit Carding Mill Valley

Year 5 visited Carding Mill Valley as part of their geography topic, Raging Rivers . The trip provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to bring their classroom learning to life in a real-world setting. ECO Ambassadors Launch Battery Recycling Bin!

In the ECO Ambassadors’ first meeting of the academic year, they discussed new ways we can recycle more and reduce waste in school. One idea the children were particularly enthusiastic about was introducing a battery recycling bin — and they went ahead and ordered one themselves! Now, any used batteries we have in school will be placed in the battery bin provided. Batteries should not go into general waste, as they are a fire hazard in bin lorries and at landfill sites.
