Year 5 visited Carding Mill Valley as part of their geography topic, Raging Rivers. The trip provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to bring their classroom learning to life in a real-world setting.
Throughout the day, the children took part in three exciting activities: a guided walk, a detailed river study and river dipping. During the guided walk, National Trust volunteers helped the children explore the valley while identifying key river features. It was wonderful to hear the children confidently labelling parts of the river, applying their classroom knowledge in such a meaningful way.
Everyone had a fantastic time, enjoying the beautiful Shropshire scenery while deepening their understanding of rivers. The children represented the school brilliantly and should be very proud of their enthusiasm and excellent behaviour throughout the day.
