Autumn 2026 - Issue 2
Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
It has been wonderful to see such a positive atmosphere around school. Our pupils have returned eager to learn and are working incredibly hard in their lessons. Across all year groups, children are showing excellent attitudes to learning, demonstrating resilience, curiosity and determination as they tackle new challenges. Please visit our school website regularly to learn more about all the learning that is going on in each year group; this week has seen science lessons which involved dissections and even some chocolate rocks!
As always, the safety of our pupils remains a top priority. We kindly ask parents and carers to remind children to dismount from their bikes and scooters before entering the school site. Walking bikes and scooters while on the premises helps to ensure that everyone can move around safely and reduces the risk of accidents.
We would also like to thank our neighbours for their ongoing support and ask our school community to be considerate when parking at the beginning and end of the school day. Please park respectfully and avoid blocking residents' driveways or access points. By working together, we can help maintain positive relationships with our neighbours and ensure the area around school remains safe and accessible for everyone.

Pupils are invited to come to school wearing yellow in order to raise awareness about this important topic.

Year 3 Science...a rocky discovery!

Year 4's UK Landmark Model Challenge
We have all been blown away by the incredible efforts our Year 4 pupils have been making at home to produce their famous landmark models. A Super Kick-Off to the Football Season!
Both our boys and girls football teams had a flying start to the season with wins against St Pauls this week. The Boys started the winning streak with a 3-2 win and the girls played their socks off with a 5-0 win.
Even more importantly, Mr Cooper was so impressed with how all the players supported each other, cheering each other on. We can't wait to see what else you are able to achieve this year! Well done.
Clubs
Our extra curricular clubs began this week and we hope all the children enjoyed them. There were smiles all around in Youth Enterprise Club, making decorations for the Christmas Fair. They can't wait to show off their finished products at the sale.
Culture Day
We are proud of the diversity at Tipton Green! On Friday 6th November, we will be having a Culture Day in school, with pupils taking part in a wide range of activities which celebrates all our pupils. As part of this day, children will be taking part in workshops including art, cooking, dance and much more.
We would love to include as much of our local community as possible in this event. If you are aware of anyone or a local group who would be able to support any of these workshops please speak to the school office who will inform the team of staff organising this event.
School Council: Learning to Lead!
Today, our School Council, Head Boy and Head Girl and deputies met up and took part in some school council training. We discussed what it means to be a leader and shared our ideas with other school councils. We talked about how we can deliver an engaging assembly and what we need to do to prepare for an assembly. We got lots of ideas for different assemblies we could lead including telling a story, running a quiz, talking about important world events and talking about safety. We got lots of different ideas for competitions we could run.
Harvest Festival
As part of our annual Harvest Festival celebrations, we would like to invite the children to take part in supporting those in need within our community. This year, we are collecting donations for the Black Country Foodbank.
Donations can be brought into school by Friday 2nd October. Suggested items include:
Tinned foods (e.g. soup, beans, vegetables, fruit)
Pasta, rice, and cereals
Long-life milk and juice
Biscuits and treats
All contributions, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference to families who need a little extra help.
We are also delighted to welcome a visitor from a local church who will be delivering a special Harvest assembly to the children.
Thank you for your generosity and support in helping us to share the spirit of Harvest.
