Autumn 2026 - Issue 3

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,

As we continue to place a strong focus on the wellbeing of our pupils, it was wonderful to see the school community come together today to raise awareness of Mental Health. Children enjoyed a lovely day wearing yellow, taking part in wellbeing activities and sharing acts of kindness across the school. Their enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and support for one another was heart-warming to see and reminded us of the importance of looking after both our own wellbeing and that of others.

With the colder weather beginning to draw in, please ensure that your child brings a coat to school each day. We aim to get children outside for fresh air and play whenever possible, and a warm coat will help them to stay comfortable throughout the day.

We are also continuing to develop our lunchtime provision to further support pupil wellbeing. If you have any board games, or other suitable playground games that you would be willing to donate to school, we would be extremely grateful for your support. Donations will help us provide additional opportunities for children to play, socialise and enjoy positive experiences during lunchtimes. Here are some letters from our Well Being Ambassadors Millie and Lillian, to explain a little more:

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Harvest Festival Donations

Thank you so much for all of your kind donations during our Harvest Festival celebrations this week. During these difficult times, I know how much the Black Country Food Bank appreciated the support they had from families at Tipton Green Junior School. Year 4 pupils led a wonderful assembly reminding us of the importance of this event each year, and the School Council helped make sure the donations reached the right place! Well done everyone - what a great team!

We were also lucky enough to have a visit from  Pastor Eki Gabriel from Elite Church in Tipton who joined us for a special assembly.  The children enjoyed thinking about how even a small act of kindness can make a difference to someone else.

Sport at Tipton Green

Our boys football team played valiently at their match last week and we couldn't be prouder of their performance and determination. Visit the school website to find out how they got on. Tipton V Ocker Hill

Culture Day

We are proud of the diversity at Tipton Green! On Friday 6th November, we will be having a Culture Day in school, with pupils taking part in a wide range of activities which celebrates all our pupils. As part of this day, children will be taking part in workshops including art, cooking, dance and much more.

We would love to include as much of our local community as possible in this event. If you are aware of anyone or a local group who would be able to support any of these workshops please speak to the school office who will inform the team of staff organising this event.

Safeguarding - Fidgets and Squishes

Just a reminder that pupils should not be bringing their own fidget toys, squishes or other toys including cards into school.

Whilst we understand that children enjoy sharing their special belongings with friends, we cannot guarantee that these items will not be lost, misplaced or damaged during the school day. Bringing personal items can also sometimes cause distractions in the classroom, or disagreements on the playground.

We are also aware that there are some items currently on the market that have been causing serious injuries if broken, therefore we would be grateful for your co-operation in ensuring all our pupils are safe.
