Spring 2026 - Issue 9
Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
This week has been full of exciting learning opportunities across our school community. Our Year 4 pupils took part in a fantastic animation workshop, exploring these digital skills in a hands‑on and memorable way. On Wednesday, we were also joined by members of our local police, who spoke to pupils about the importance of positive behaviour and how our choices can impact the wider community.
As part of our whole‑school focus this term, all pupils have been engaging in litter picking to help keep our school site clean and welcoming. This has been a wonderful way to build pride in our environment and highlight the role each of us plays in caring for our shared spaces.
We were also delighted to welcome students from the University of Wolverhampton into school this week. They spent time observing lessons and learning about the excellent practice taking place here every day. Our pupils represented us beautifully, demonstrating that respect truly sits at the heart of our school values.
This weeks newsletter is full of important information and dates for the diary - please let us know if you have any questions.
Have a lovely weekend
Mrs Richards
Headteacher
Attendance Matters
At our school, we know that every day of learning truly counts. Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in helping children achieve their full potential - both academically and socially. When pupils are in school consistently, they build strong learning habits, develop positive routines, and engage fully with lessons, friendships, and the wider school community.
Even one or two days of absence can have an impact. Learning is carefully sequenced, and missing key steps can make it harder for pupils to feel confident in the classroom. Good attendance also supports emotional wellbeing, helping children feel settled, connected, and part of our school family.
We understand that illnesses and unavoidable circumstances do arise, but we encourage families to make every effort to ensure children are in school every day, on time, ready to learn. By working together, we can give our pupils the best possible chance to thrive.
Thank you for your continued support in helping all our children enjoy a successful and positive school experience. This week our whole school attendance has improved - well done everyone!

There are still places available for both the Year 4 residential trip to Frank Chapman and Year 6 residential to Laches Wood. Residentials give pupils the opportunity to take part in a range of activities designed to build resilience, teamwork and independence and we would highly recommend participation in them.
