Sharing Stories Across the School!

This afternoon, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 all took part in an exciting book swap session full of stories, discussion and a real love of reading. The children paired up across year groups and took turns sharing their books, listening carefully as their partners read aloud with expression and confidence. There was lots of excitement as children talked about their favourite characters, memorable moments and surprising twists in their stories.

Older pupils asked thoughtful questions to help younger readers explain what was happening in their books, while younger pupils impressed everyone with their enthusiasm and growing confidence. Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 all did a fantastic job supporting one another, showing great listening skills and a shared enjoyment of reading. It was a wonderful afternoon that truly celebrated reading across the school. 📚✨
