Year 4 Bake Bread!

Today, in Design and Technology Year 4 planned and designed their own bread. The children began by exploring different ideas and deciding what type of bread they wanted to create. Once their designs were finished, they followed a recipe carefully and used a range of ingredients, including plain flour, yeast, warm water, salt, sugar, and oil.

After preparing the dough, each child personalised their bread by choosing their own extra ingredient. They could add cheese, currants, banana, or chocolate chips to make their loaf unique.

The class worked brilliantly to measure, mix, knead and shape their dough. When the bread was baked, the room was filled with a wonderful smell, and the children were proud of their creations.
