In Year 4, we learned about significant Black people who made a difference by standing up for what was right. We studied inspiring figures such as Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X. We also explored modern-day inspirational Black people, including Usain Bolt and Mo Farah.
We read some of their most powerful quotes and each chose one that inspired us. Then, we created bold and colourful artwork using felt-tip pens, adding our chosen quote to make our picture stand out. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Black History Month and to remember the importance of courage, equality, and inspiration.
