Clean & Green: Year 4’s Drama Workshop Tackles Waste

As a follow-up to our recycling assembly, Year 4 took part in a drama workshop where they met a fictional shopkeeper who had received a letter warning him about not sorting his waste properly. Drawing on what they had learnt in the assembly, the children stepped in to help!

They sorted through the shopkeeper’s rubbish, identifying what could be recycled. Items like food waste, plastic, metal tins, clothes, and card and paper were placed into the correct recycling bins. The workshop was a fun and interactive way for the children to apply their knowledge and help someone else understand how to recycle correctly.

It was a fantastic morning filled with learning, engagement, and a shared commitment to keeping Tipton Green – and the planet – clean and green.
