Tipton Green WBA Football Tournament – Year 3 & 4

Tipton Green started quick in their first of five matches, scoring two goals straight away and a solid back line helping them win 4 – 0. Second game, Tipton Green conceded straight away but didn’t let their heads drop and scored in quick succession and ended up winning 3 – 1, followed by a 3 – 0 win in the third game. Fourth game was against a tough St Phillips team who had also won their first three matches, making it an exciting end to end game. Goalkeeper and defence played a crucial part, keeping Tipton in the game which allowed their attackers to find a way through and come away with a 2 – 1 victory. It came to the last game and Tipton players knew that a win or draw would be enough to win the tournament. Tipton started slow and went 1 – 0 down. However, keeper and defence started to play without fear, starting to release the ball quicker to the attackers which enabled Tipton to start scoring. Tipton Green came away with a 4 – 3 win to be crowned champions!
