The game started just as the rain began to fall heavily. Credit must go to the players from both teams, who carried on playing despite the difficult conditions.

Tipton Green edged the first half with some impressive attacking play and went into half-time with the lead. The goal came from a very clever finish by our striker, who reacted first to the opportunity.

The second half began with Wood Green coming out strongly. Our attack and midfield had to work hard off the ball, while our defence stayed extremely busy dealing with the Wood Green attacks. Our goalkeeper also had to make a number of outstanding saves, earning a well-deserved man of the match performance as he denied Wood Green several times.
