Virtual Author Visit

Tipton Green watched an exciting virtual assembly with children’s author Ross Montgomery. Ross is a well-known author of children’s books, including The Midnight Guardians, I Am Rebel and Space Tortoise. He writes imaginative stories full of adventure and humour and enjoys inspiring children to become confident readers and writers.

During the assembly, pupils took part in lots of fun and interactive activities. Ross drew a character live on screen, and the children shared their own ideas about how they would change the character, such as adding new features, powers or personality traits. The session encouraged creativity and showed pupils how authors develop characters using imagination and audience ideas. Everyone really enjoyed the assembly and felt inspired to create their own stories.
