Wolves Academy Tournament

Tipton Green arrived at the Wolves Compton training ground full of excitement to play in this tournament at a unique venue. This showed on the pitch with us winning our first game 3-0. Second game was a very close end to end 0-0 before we won our third game 4-0. Last game of the group saw us against Hateley Heath primary and winner would top the group. This was Mr Cooper’s favourite game of the group because every position had to work hard for each other and sticking to our game plan allowed us to play through our striker who netted nicely past the keeper. Our players and work ethic impressed a wolves scout that had made a comment about how well we worked as a team and how one of our team goals was his best of the tournament so far. Going through to the quarter finals the nerves hit with Highfields going 2-0 early on. The game finished 2-0 but our players showed a togetherness through out and really enjoyed their day at a premier league training facility.
