Cooking Club made easy one-bowl fudgy cocoa brownies using butter, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla, flour and a pinch of salt, with groups adding chocolate chunks for extra richness. Pupils worked collaboratively to measure ingredients accurately, melt and mix safely, and follow the recipe in the correct order. They learned the importance of not overmixing and carefully monitoring baking times to achieve a fudgy centre and crisp, crinkly top. The brownies were ready in under 30 minutes and everyone was proud of their rich, chocolatey results, which were enjoyed by all.
