Healthy Calzones at Cooking Club!

Tonight at cooking club, we made calzones using wraps as a healthier alternative to traditional dough. To prepare the toppings, we safely cut peppers using proper knife techniques, making sure to handle the knives with care. We then spread tomato purée over the wraps and added a variety of toppings, including mushrooms, sweetcorn, peppers, ham, and pepperoni. After folding the wraps in half, we baked them in the oven for about five minutes until they were warm and lightly crisped.

We also talked about how wraps can be a healthier base compared to regular pizza dough. In addition, we explored how to read nutritional information on food packaging to help us make better food choices and understand what we are eating.
