We’ve just left London after a fantastic afternoon of sightseeing in the sunshine! The children have been amazing and have walked over 4 miles today.
We enjoyed a play in the park at St James’s Park and even had a front-row view of the Changing of the Guard thanks to a very kind police officer.
As we sit back and relax after our long but brilliant day, the teachers would like to say a huge thank you to all of the children for their impeccable manners. We even had members of the public comment on how polite and well-behaved they were!
Well done, Tipton Green! 🎉 And thank you to all of our families for getting the children to school so early this morning.
We've really enjoyed our tour around the Houses of Parliament! We even had the opportunity to sit in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords to listen to MPs debating important topics.
Throughout the visit, we've learnt lots of fascinating facts about the historic buildings and halls within the Houses of Parliament. We are now taking part in a workshop, working together to learn more about the different parts of Parliament and how they work.
Later today, we'll be meeting our local MP, Antonia Bance. We're looking forward to asking questions and finding out more about her role and the work she does representing our community.
We have arrived at the Houses of Parliamentand are just having breakfast before we have our tour!
Photos of the children will follow! Keep checking back for updates!
