Autumn 2025 - Issue 2
Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
Another two weeks have gone by at Tipton Green! I’ve had the pleasure of visiting classrooms across the school and have been blown away by the enthusiasm, creativity and hard work our pupils are showing. A huge well done to everyone - your dedication and brilliant attitude to learning are truly inspiring.
Our after-school clubs are now in full swing, and it’s been wonderful to see pupils enjoying such a wide range of activities. From dodgeball and cooking to science and choir, there’s something for everyone. The joy and energy around school in the afternoons is a real highlight of the week!
On Monday, we welcomed Paul from Litter Watch, who gave an engaging and thought-provoking talk about the importance of recycling. The children asked insightful questions and left with a renewed sense of responsibility for looking after our environment. Thank you, Paul, for helping us kick off Recycling Week with such impact!
We’re looking forward to a visit from Canon Ben Whitmore next week, who will be talking to the children about the meaning of Harvest and how we can show gratitude for what we have. This will be followed by our Year 4 Harvest Assembly on Wednesday 1st October at 9am. Families are warmly invited to join us for this special event – we can’t wait to see you there!
Thank you for your continued support. As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Richards

Sporting News
Our Year 6 football team, kicked off to a fantastic start this term winning their first match against St Martins Primary School. Well done team Tipton. Here's to a fantastic season ahead!

We are also excited to announce that Tipton Green has been successful in achieving the School Games GOLD Mark Award!
As part of our application, we were assessed across several key areas: participation, competition, workforce, and clubs. We are incredibly proud that the dedication and teamwork of our students, staff, and wider school community have been recognised with this award.
A huge well done and thank you to everyone who contributed towards this achievement!
We’re already looking ahead and excited to apply again in 2026!
Use of E-Scooters and E-Bikes on School Grounds
For health and safety reasons, e-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted on school grounds across our Trust.
While we recognise that these forms of transport are becoming increasingly popular, they present significant risks when used in busy areas where children, parents, and staff are moving around. To ensure the safety of everyone on site, we kindly ask that e-scooters and e-bikes are not brought onto or used anywhere within the school premises.
It is important to note that there is a legal distinction between e-scooters and e-bikes:
· Privately owned e-scooters: It is currently illegal to ride these in public places, including pavements, roads and parks.
· E-bikes: These are legal to use on roads and cycle paths if they meet specific government requirements (such as speed and motor power limits and age restrictions).
For further guidance on regulations, please visit: · Electric bikes: www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules · Electric scooters: www.gov.uk/electric-scooter-rules
We appreciate your support in helping us to maintain a safe environment for our school community.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Winter Months
Unfortunately, the colder weather does now seem to be setting in. Can we ask you to ensure pupils come to school with coats please so that they are able to go outside. Names in all belongings is vital to ensure that we are able to reunite coats to the right people should they become misplaced.
Maths Mastery

At Tipton Green, our approach to the teaching of maths, follows the Maths Mastery approach. For more details on how and what we teach the children, please visit the school website: https://www.tgjs.org.uk/copy-of-maths
Here you will find curriculum coverage documents so that you know what your children are learning as well as useful websites which can continue to support them further.
