Autumn 2025 - Issue 6

Dear Parents, Carers and Families,

As the dark nights now draw in, all pupils and staff continue to work hard in all areas of the curriculum as well as beginning preparations for the festive season.

It’s been an exciting and busy time for our Year 6 pupils who visited Hayden Hill as part of their History learning. https://www.tgjs.org.uk/post/stepping-back-in-time

Year 5 and Year 6 pupils showed incredible teamwork and determination during recent football tournaments held at the prestigious Wolverhampton Wanders training ground - what an experience to play where the professionals train! https://www.tgjs.org.uk/post/wolves-academy-tournament

Our School Council has also been leading the way in promoting important values. They delivered engaging assemblies on Road Safety, reminding everyone how to stay safe in our community, and took the lead during Parliament Week, helping pupils understand democracy and the power of having a voice. https://www.tgjs.org.uk/post/school-council-leads-parliament-week-assembly

Just a reminder that the last day of term is Friday 19th December, with pupils finishing at 1pm.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Richards

End of Day Arrangements!

To further support the safeguarding of all pupils at the end of the school day, we are introducing a small but important change to our dismissal routine.

As part of our new end-of-day procedure, we kindly ask that parents and carers stand behind the designated signs on the playground when collecting children. These signs will help create a clear and safe space for staff to dismiss pupils directly to their trusted adult.

This change is designed to:

  • Ensure staff can clearly see who each child is being collected by

  • Prevent overcrowding near classroom doors

  • Help children exit calmly and safely

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a secure and orderly environment for all pupils. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of staff.

Parking around School

Please can we remind families to take care when parking around the local area. It has been brought to our attention by local residents that families are blocking drives and parking illegally at the beginning or the end of the day. We appreciate that parking can be difficult however this is presenting local residents a health and safety risk. Thank you for your understanding with this.

PE Uniform

Thank you for all your support in ensuring pupils are wearing the correct PE Uniform this term. Please can I remind parents that our burgundy PE hoodie should be worn on PE days, not the school jumper.

Pupils must not wear earrings during PE lessons due to health and safety precautions. Please ensure that pupils are able to remove earrings themselves or that they are not worn on PE days. Should pupils be wearing earrings and be unable to remove them, they will not be able to take part in the PE lesson.

Thank you for your support, helping pupils to be smart and ready for all their learning.
