Year 4 have been putting their Science learning into practice by designing and building their very own electronic Buzz Game in their DT lessons. The challenge? To carefully guide a loop along a winding wire from one end to the other—without touching it. If the loop touches the wire, the circuit is completed, and the game buzzes… time to start again!
As part of their Science topic on electricity, the children learned how to build simple circuits. They discovered that when two wires touch, it completes the circuit and allows electricity to flow—causing the buzzer to sound. This understanding helped them create a fun, interactive game that also demonstrates their grasp of electrical circuits in a real-world context.
It’s been a fantastic combination of creativity, design, and science—well done, Year 4!
