On the 11 th  November Year 6 were joined by their parents, carers and family members as they went to the Cenotaph in Victoria Park to pay their respects to those who have fought and are still fighting in wars. The children led a short service and the laid a wreath. The children were very respectful as they observed a two minute silence. It was a moving and meaningful experience for everyone involved, reminding us of the importance of remembrance and gratitude.

This week, our children took part in a special assembly led by the NSPCC  about the importance of staying safe and speaking out. During the session, the children were introduced to Buddy , the NSPCC’s friendly green mascot. Buddy is shaped like a speech bubble to remind us that it’s always important to speak out  if we ever have any worries or if something doesn’t feel right. These poppies will be part of an outdoor display at school, honouring those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
