Tipton Green boys started the game on top against a team who has won all their matches this season. We won the battles and tried to keep the ball on floor as much as possible. Second half began and the game was very end to end. Summerhill took the lead and Tipton Green did so well to stay on top and create pressure which lead to us scoring a great goal to make the game 1-1. This should cement our place in the quarter finals.

Game started with a very physical battle straight away. Hargate were very dominant with their tackles. Tipton Green did so well to keep their heads and try and play football we knew would win us the game. 1-0 lead at half time helped us settle the game down in the second half and go on to winning the game 3-1 to qualify through the group stages.

The Rock Steady concert at Tipton Green was a lively and enjoyable event, celebrating the musical achievements of the pupils. Red Nose Day was a fun and meaningful event in our school. The children came to school wearing an item of red to show their support. There was a great sense of excitement and community throughout the day. Everyone made a fantastic effort, and it was lovely to see so many creative red outfits. The children also donated money, helping to raise funds for an important cause. Overall, it was a successful day that brought everyone together while supporting others in need.

The children have worked really hard in Woolcraft Club. They have created pom-poms in a variety of sizes, either using them to make pictures or turning them into keyrings.

As part of their Raging Rivers Geography topic, Year 5 visited Carding Mill Valley to explore river features in a real-life setting. Year 4 took part in an exciting investigation linked to our class book Kensuke's Kingdom. We began by asking the question: Why do boats float but rocks sink? The children learned that boats float because their shape allows them to push water aside and spread their weight, while rocks sink because they are dense and cannot displace enough water. We were absolutely blown away by the science projects that the children created for the science fair. It was wonderful to see the creativity, curiosity, and effort that went into each project. Today in Cooking Club, the children made delicious quesadillas using Mexican-style wraps. First, the children peeled mushrooms and peppers and chopped them into chunks. They then added the vegetables and onions to canned tomatoes and Quorn chicken, along with some seasoning. The mixture was cooked on the stove until everything was soft and full of flavour. Tipton Green started the game with super intensity and made the game hard for Burnt Tree to get out of their defensive half. Great quick passing from our defensive positions allowed us to get in toe dangerous positions leading to quite a few shots on goal. 3-0 at half time was well deserved and credit to Tipton Green players because second half they made sure to work hard defensively to stop Burnt Tree attacks with the game ending 4-0 to Tipton Green.

Our reading ambassadors led an assembly at Silvertrees Infant School. Using the book Wombat Stew by Marcia K Vaughan and Pamela Lofts, they told the story about a very clever Dingo who had caught a wombat and decided to make a gooey, brewy, yummy, chewy wombat stew! This week at Cooking Club we baked delicious cookies using a simple homemade recipe. The children carefully measured the ingredients, mixed the dough, and shaped their own cookies before baking them. The recipe included: - 125g butter - 100g sugar - 1 egg - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 200g self-raising flour - 100g chocolate chips After mixing the butter and sugar, the children added the egg and vanilla, then stirred in the flour and chocolate chips. We took part in a fantastic online assembly with Michael Rosen and other well-known authors and illustrators. We listened to a range of stories based around the theme of food, exploring how food can be used in stories as either the problem or the solution. We also enjoyed a live “draw-along” session with an illustrator, who showed us how to create scenes from the stories and inspired us to start thinking about ideas for our own food-themed tales.

Rounds Green 3 Tipton Green 0. Very difficult game against top of the league that have scored 26 goals in 3 games. This was our second league match and our girls played tremendously well to stay in the game and even have some chances at the end. Comments from our team were that Rounds Green were very strong but they enjoyed a battle which hopefully helps us going into our next match.
