3D Art Illusion Club

Year 5 Digital Art
Children participated in a fun Digital Art workshop using IPads today which was kindly led by Mr Ashton from Engagedu. We have some fantastic artists in Year 5! Children used the app Sketch Book and investigated with a variety of colours and textures. They also learnt how to create a multi-layered image! Tipton Green Coffee Morning
Despite the rainy weather, we had a lovely turnout for our Coffee Morning at Tipton Green. Parents enjoyed a selection of delicious cakes while having the opportunity to chat, connect with others, and spend time together in a welcoming environment. We were also pleased to welcome members of the Eat Well Team and the Family Support Hub, who spoke with parents and shared valuable information, advice, and support available to families. Charcoal Cakes in Year 5!
Year 5 have begun their exciting new art topic: Cakes! This week, the children used charcoal pencils to produce observational drawings of a variety of cakes, carefully experimenting with texture, line and tone to bring their sketches to life.

Sports Day 2026
Today, our Year 5 children enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day this morning, followed by Year 4 this afternoon. The children took part in a range of exciting events, including the bean bag race, sack race, egg and spoon race, skipping race, javelin, long jump and the always-popular relay race to finish the day. Back to the Secret Garden!
After enjoying a well-earned half-term break, Gardening Club visited the Secret Garden to see how much had changed since we were last at school. The children were excited to discover that many of the vegetables in our vegetable patch had started to grow, and the herbs were looking healthy too. School Nurses Promote Sun Safety
Today, two school nurses set up an informative and interactive sun safety stand in the school playground to provide help, advice, and support to children and parents about staying safe in the sun. The colourful display attracted lots of interest and helped raise awareness about the importance of protecting skin during the warmer months. The nurses spoke with children and families about the dangers of overexposure to the sun and shared practical tips on how to prevent sunburn

Disco Time!
A lovely afternoon at the Tipton Green Disco! The children got dressed up, danced with their friends, and enjoyed glow sticks, tasty treats, and good music throughout the event. Lunchtime Gardeners
As gardening club was cancelled tonight due to the disco, some children volunteered to help in the garden during their lunchtime. Some of the seeds had started to grow into plants, so it was important to move them into our new vegetable patch. First, we made sure the ground was clear of weeds. The Ofsted report has now been published, and we are proud to be able to share this with our families and local community. Egyptian Day in Year 3
In year 3, we had a fantastic time learning all about the ancient Egyptians on our Egyptian day! We learned all about Howard Carter and his discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb, had a go at being excavators ourselves and roleplaying what the discovery would have felt like. Then, we had a go at being real Egyptian scribes, carving our names into clay with hieroglyphs! Then, we learned all about the process of mummification and how that links to Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs.

Year 4 had the exciting opportunity to visit the Sandwell Library Bus, where they were able to explore a wide range of books and choose one to enjoy. Year 4 Fire Safety Visit
Year 4 children took part in an exciting SPARKS visit delivered by firefighters from the local fire station. The presentation focused on important fire and road safety messages in a fun and engaging way. Year 3 Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy
Year 3 explored the beautiful natural artwork created by Andy Goldsworthy. We began by carefully planning our collage designs, thinking about the shapes, colours and patterns we wanted to include.
